Featured today is a 3 level aged care facility, featuring 80 self contained units, multiple dining areas, common rooms & a 12m high architecturally designed watermall lobby. Positioned with water views on the Mooloolah River, in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. The team at the aged cared facility have expanded there premises as they strive to continue providing those in aged care facilities with professional, friendly and caring service.
Action Plasterers & Renderers have been lucky enough to land the plastering contract for BADGE CONSTRUCTIONS on this multi-million dollar project. Construction on our behalf beginning back in JUNE 2017, through to completion in MARCH 2018.
Over the 8 month long period of construction, Action Plasterers & Renderers were highly involved. Constructing internal and external steel frame partitions, fire and smoke walls and suspended ceilings. Following the steel framing that was carried out, all walls and ceilings were lined in the specified required plasterboard/fireshield/villaboard. With all fire and smoke walls completed correctly and certified by Australian Standards. Setting and finishing of all wall and ceiling linings was the final step onsite for our team.
Due to the height and attention to detail required, the 12m high featured watermall was the most time consuming but a highlight of the project. Large cylinders feature in the watermall, with a square set finish and LED lighting to compliment the works and light up the mall. Surrounded by square set pillars, large bulkheads and the forthcoming water feature, this area is the master piece of the project from all trades involved.
This commercial project is the largest Action Plasterers and Renderers have been involved in to date with larger projects underway and on the horizon, we look forward to working closely with the team at Badge Constructions in the current and near future.
